Mount Tai Tianwai Village Tourist Trail: The most effortless hiking route

The Tianwai Village Touring Route, known as the "Tianwai Village — Zhongtianmen — Daiding" route, is the most convenient, time-saving, and effortless summit route, suitable for those with weaker stamina or limited time. If you choose this route for climbing, the arduous climbing process disappears, and the ascent to the summit transforms from a sweaty journey into a fast-paced, leisurely, and comfortable transportation transfer.


■ Touring method: Take the bus along the tourist highway up the mountain, then transfer to the cable car at Zhongtianmen to reach Daiding.

Tianwai Village — Longtan Reservoir — Bailong Pool — Heilongtan — Zhulin Temple — Huangxi River Reservoir — Shanzi Cliff — Aolai Peak — Zhongtianmen — Cableway — Nantianmen — Bixia Shrine — Yuhuangding




■ Tour itinerary:


It consists of two sections: the first section is the winding mountain road from Tianwai Village to mid-mountain Zhongtianmen, covering 14.35 kilometers and taking 30 minutes; the second section is the high-mountain cableway from Zhongtianmen to Daiding, 2078 meters long and about 15 minutes in total. It takes less than an hour to reach the summit from the foot to the summit. The starting point is Tianwai Village Square. At the Tianwai Village Visitor Center, purchase a mountain entrance ticket (115 yuan) and a tourist bus ticket (30 yuan). Taking the tourist bus directly to Zhongtianmen is available. There are many natural sights and historical sites not to be missed, and visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. After arriving at Zhongtianmen, a short walk leads to Zhongtianmen Cable Car Station, where you can take the cable car "One Step to Heaven" directly to Daiding, which costs 100 yuan per person. One-way. After touring Dai Peak, you can descend and head back.


■ Friendly Reminder:


Although this route is convenient and fast, it comes at the expense of many attractions. Therefore, after taking the bus to Zhongtianmen, it is recommended to continue the traditional hiking trail to Dai Peak to enjoy more of the beautiful scenery of Mount Tai.


■ Transportation:


If you take the train to Taishan Station, you can take bus No. 3 (2 yuan) or a taxi (about 10 yuan) directly from the station to Tianwai Village; If you get off at Tai'an High-Speed Rail Station, you can directly take bus No. 37 (2 yuan) or a taxi (about 35 yuan) from the station to Tianwai Village, which takes about 40 minutes. When taking Bus No. 3, please pay attention to the bus stop signs and pay attention to the direction you are heading. The destination in one direction is Hongmen (the starting point of the hiking trip), and the endpoint in the other direction is Tianwai Village (take the tour bus up the mountain).
